DESCRIPTION

This project has been developed as a prompt answer to the requirement to make a dynamic web site for NOSIC that would be easily edited by the members of the organization. The quick solution is made by using an existing product that had possibilities of Content Management, easy definition of privilege levels, messaging system in back office etc.

The CM solution that was used offers easy changes of content without having knowledge of the used technology. The pages that have been created were based on reusable templates and only their content is edited.

The web site presents all information concerning NOSIC's activities: information about organization, news, manuals, training etc.

TECHNOLOGIES:

The technology that was used is based on open standards. Implementation platform was Java, the system for database management (RDBMS) was MySQL, and application server was Jakarta Tomcat.

The existing solution that was used is called Open CMS, and it is open source software for content editing. Open CMS web application that runs on above mentioned servers, in a way that all contents editing is done through web.
