DESCRIPTION
GTZ/WBF portal is an internet/intranet application with two purposes: it is an informative web site of GTZ project in Serbia and Montenegro with easily editable contents, but it is also a mean of communication and project management.GTZ application is organized into several levels i.e. offices that can be used by different users. One segment of offered functionality is the content management solutions for modification of information displayed in front office (created for the end visitor), while the rest of the functionality is intended for internal collaboration. This second part consists of administration of projects that are hierarchically organizes in a three, and of messaging system between back offices’ users.
TECHNOLOGIES:
The used technology is based on open source solutions i.e. on Java platform using MySQL database. Within Java platform the following has been used:
JSP + Servlet-i (user interface)
Java Beans (business logic)
JDBC (database access)
Application server is Jakarta Tomcat and database server is MySQL.
