DESCRIPTION
Multilingual dynamic web application for internal and external use.Internal usage – the goal was to enable easy coordination of the work in GTZ office, including tasks of a secretary, generation of employee work plan, address book of partners.External usage – the goal was to enable citizens to be informed about office’s work through internet, including overview of current projects, news and activities. A separate category of internet users consisted of registered users, who participated in some activities.Multilingual support – entire content of the web application was translated into three languages (Serbian, English and German), and the users (both internal and external) are able to chose the language.Customization of the information available to internet users is possible through back office.Apart from above mentioned, the application has an agreeable and user-friendly interface.
TECHNOLOGIES:
The application was written in JAVA programming language. Application server is TOMCAT server, and the system for database management is MySQL database. In production of application code, model-view-controller pattern model was used in order to facilitate the development and maintenance of the application.
OTHER:
Following the success of project realization, it has been improved with new functionality, incorporated in version 2.
